3 Beetroot
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cardamom powderÂ
1 tsp za'atar
1 tsp vanilla sugarÂ
1 Orange
1 tsp pomegranate syrupÂ
100 g vegan (Greek) yogurtÂ
20 g walnuts or pecans
Instructions
- Place the beetroots in the oven at 200 °C for at least 30 minutes, wrapped in aluminum foil. Then peel and chop them so that they can be pureed. Season with sea salt and pepper and mix heartily with cinnamon, cardamom, za'atar, vanilla sugar and the zest of an orange.
- At the end, add some pomegranate syrup and fold in the vegan (Greek) yogurt. Crush the pecans (walnuts also work) in a mortar and mix them in as well. Sprinkle a few whole nuts over the Borani for decoration.
